SPS Programming

PLC programming and control engineering with controllers from Omron and Siemens

For the control and regulation of machines and systems, KTC Systemtechnik from Hamburg uses programmable logic controllers (PLCs), preferably from Omron and the Simatic S7 series from Siemens; other manufacturers are available on request.

SIMATIC S5 - S7 Migration

PLC controllers are constantly being developed. The Simatic S5 controller was launched in 1979, but in 2002 the manufacturer Siemens discontinued the controller and S5 components are now no longer available, even as spare parts. With a statistical service life of twelve years for a PLC CPU and 15 to 20 years for I/O modules and module carriers, the risk of controller failure and inevitable longer downtimes for plants and machines increases. We are experienced in converting S5 controllers to S7 and can help you avoid the risk of plant downtime.

Example: Conveyor system and integration of packaging machines

The corresponding visualisation of the conveyor system control in the operating and monitoring panel is shown here.

The project was implemented using a Siemens CPU 1512SP1-PN, ET 200eco digital modules, KTP700 HMI, several Schneider Electric ATV320 frequency converters with Profinet card, and DP/DP couplers for signal coupling with the packaging machines.

Giving drive together - get in touch with us.

Regardless of whether it is an isolated solution or whether several PLC controls are to be brought together centrally in the control center, we will work out the right solution for your requirements.
